A Special Evening Under the Sky

Tonight is a special night at Camp Zaplana.

As the sun begins to set, look towards the western sky and enjoy a rare astronomical event — the partial solar eclipse of August 12, 2026. From Slovenia, the eclipse will be visible as the Sun gets very low on the horizon, with the maximum occurring at around 8:12 p.m., just before sunset.

So tonight, find a quiet spot, slow down, and watch as the Moon gently passes in front of the Sun. Then stay a little longer and enjoy the colours of sunset over Zaplana.
