Autumn Camping & Mushroom Season at Camp Zaplana
Autumn is slowly arriving at Zaplana. The days are getting shorter, the forests are changing colour, and one of our favourite seasons is just around the corner — mushroom picking season . Autumn is a wonderful time to go camping. The summer crowds are gone, the air is fresh and crisp, and the forest is especially beautiful in the morning. After a walk through the woods, there is nothing better than returning to your tent, enjoying a warm drink and simply taking in the peaceful surroundings. IMPORTANT: If you are planning to pick mushrooms, please be careful. Some mushrooms are poisonous and can be very dangerous if eaten. Never eat a mushroom unless you are completely certain of its identification. The mushroom shown here, Oljkov livkar , is an example of a poisonous mushroom that can be mistaken for edible species.
